Since seeing the albino deer, confessing and accepting her past sexual assault, and venturing on her own holistic journey to healing, Grace Hayse, 23, has discovered several practices that have positively impacted her health–physically and mentally.

“In my mind, the daily pill I was taking to prevent herpes from flaring up was partially a placebo effect,” she said. “And it makes sense when you look into the high success rates of the placebo pill; so much of our health is mental.”
A huge contributor to Hayse’s success in healing was implementing regular meditation into her life, she said. Meditation has been proven to help with chronic pain, anxiety, heart health and various other medical symptoms, according to WebMD.
Additional holistic practices that she has tried with success include Eden energy healing, Reiki healing and salt baths with additional meditation and reflection incorporated into the practice.
“I think that hardest part about going on a holistic path, is starting,” she said. “At first it is really weird and uncomfortable to sit with yourself and the voices in your head, but there are a lot of really great guides to get you into it.”
Hayse has now channeled her appreciation and understanding for the psychological-healing world into a journey, and career, of uncovering the truth surrounding the universe, its energies and how much of it we have access to.
“We only use like 17 percent of our brain on an everyday basis, that much has been repeated over and over again,” she said. “Looking inward has helped me unlock new discoveries about myself and the world and more and more people are starting to realize the same.”
Hayse is preparing to move to Arizona where she will be working with other like-minded people to discover the mysteries of the world and the merging of energies for things like healing as well as larger concepts (like life elsewhere and the movements in the universe).
Here's how she describes her primary interest:
The way this relates back to Hayse’s medical journey, as well as her career path, is that by investing in herself and looking inward, she is more readily open to accessing others' emotions, pains, journeys, etc. – by being able to heal her mind to a state of awareness that everything is controllable by one’s own self, she directed that energy into physical healing.
